What is the course content and structure?

The ARÖMER Arabic Summer Intensive consistent of a total of 100 hours of lessons, split into 25 hours per week for 4 weeks. Classes will run from 9am until 2.30pm, Monday to Friday with scheduled breaks.

Successful applicants will be placed into one of eight possible levels, from beginner to advanced, and the content of the course will be consistent with their current level of Arabic language skills.

The curriculum will be based on a textbook, and lessons will cover a mixture of spelling, proper pronunciation, comprehension and speaking and grammar.

The AROMER center's distinct method of teaching Arabic relies on supplementing these lessons with a number of linguistic immersion activities for its students. By utilizing a variety of media such as Arabic films, students are presented with a wide range of vocabulary which is memorized with the help of lists and audio explanations, and a thematic dictionary which presents the words in ideal, contextual, educational sentences to facilitate their understanding and implementation in real-life applications.

By the end of the program, students will sit written exams to test their progress and should expect to have the skills to advance on to further levels.
